2 Trips to Kelly's

So, a few weeks back Allie Rai and I hit the slopes at Kelly Canyon together.  We had a blast.  Allie Rai has gotten really good this winter at Skiing.  She was involved in a Ski club they offer at her school which helped as well.  Every Friday for several weeks they headed to Kelly's for night skiing. 
One week after that, I took Dawn up to Kelly's so she could get some practice in.  That made for another fun day with one my girls.  There is just so much to do here its unreal.  We are looking forward to spring and summer..  It will be camping and hiking time again.  But before that, Allie Rai and I have plans for one more ski trip.. Saturday 3-21-15 we will be headed up to Grand Targhee for our last ski trip of this season.  She has not  yet been there so

Grand Targhee 2-8-15

Took my first ski trip to Grand Targhee yesterday.  Went with a couple of buddies of mine from work. This place is unbelievable.  I can see why folks travel across the country to ski here.  Its about an hour drive from my house.  Pics below...

Kyle and I were sitting here waiting for the clouds to move so the Grand Tetons would be exposed.  They never did, however I got a great shot of them leaving Grand Targhee..  Figures they would have cleared when I left..

Over looking the planes..  We are in Wyoming looking into Idaho.  Where the tree line stops at the bottom is about the border between WY and ID.

This at the base of Grand Targhee.  Very clear day which is very unusual.  Due to the elevation you typically can not see the top of the mountain due to it reaches into the clouds.

First Ski Trip "Kelly Canyon"

Finally had our first ski trip.  We went to Kelly Canyon. Its about a 10 to 15 minute drive from the house.  We stayed on the bunny hill for the girls to learn on.  It was still a blast.  Took the girls about 1 hr to get the hang of it.  Nice fresh powder on the ground from the night before.  It was snowing the entire time we were there.  I was curious as to who if any of the girls would really take to it.  Suprisingly all three loved it.  We are planning our next trip for the up coming weekends in January.  Next trip will be to Grand Targhee.  One of the best ski resorts in the United States.  It's about an hour drive for us.  1 1/2 hrs if the roads are bad.  Here's a link to Grand Targhee if you want to check it out.  --> http://www.grandtarghee.com/ 
We were planning on a trip there this weekend but we have been invited to a chili cookoff at my general managers house this weekend.  Like I'm going to miss that.. ha...

Few Updates...

Thought I would give a few quick updates for anyone that might be interested..

Girls are doing great.  School is going good.. We all have good grades.. My work is doing good.  I am having trouble finding people to hire in order to keep up but otherwise not bad.  Mandy's work is going great and they are looking to expand here shortly.  Therefore Mandy's work load will double as well as her staff.

Few other quick things...

Georgia is growing..

 

Allie Rai learned to drive..

 

Mandy learned how to use the snow blower..

 

So did Dawn...

 

Allie Rai still thinks hitting her sister with snow balls is hilarious.. As does her Daddy!!!

 Girls are still getting prettier each year..

 

I can literally pull off any look..

Mandy found the perfect cup for the holiday season..

 

Christmas decorating comes earlier each year....

And by tradition since 1980, Herchel Walker still goes on my tree before any other ornament...
